Upgrade Your Life
Geez what a title hey. Sounds major.
But guess what? Small upgrades lead to major changes. Why not make this the year you stop dreaming about the life you want to live and actually take the steps to make it happen?
No more excuses.
Here are some easy upgrades to make through out the day to start improving you health and your life:
Reduce External Toxin Exposure
Our skin is our largest organ, giving it the largest opportunity to absorb toxins into our body through out the day. Reducing the ‘noise’ coming at us through out the day allows our bodies to focus on bigger, more important things like keeping us healthy. Upgrade the products that touch your skin to reduce toxin exposure - this includes toothpaste, lotion, soap, shampoo/conditioner, make up, deodorant, etc.
Hydration
This isn’t news, but most people are still not drinking enough water during the day. When you'r thirsty, do not reach for juice, soda and other sugary drinks. This will do more harm then good, often times contributing to dehydration. Finding your plain water uninspired and boring? Add some doTERRA citrus oils to it. Not only does it add an appealing flavor, it packs the extra health benefits of limonene. Aim to drink for 1/2 of your body weight(in lbs) in oz. For example, if you are 150lbs, aim for 75 oz in water. In the words of Jerry Seinfeld “if you are thirsty, you’re too late”.
Movement
Exercise is great: ideally a combo of weights, cardio and HIIT. But you know what, if that seems daunting stop over complicating it. Just GET MOVING. Park farther from the store. Get up every hour and walk about your office building for 5 min. Have a dance party in the kitchen. For crying out loud, just do something.
